Nice to hear a principled and independent voice speaking up and being heard.
I'm not so sure I agree with the assessment of the distribution of BSDs at BSDCan, though. It seemed about 90/5/5 Free, Net, Open to me -- this based not just on who was talking, but which talks filled up and which didn't.
It would be nice if some attention could be paid to this problem in the years to come.
