Fossil is the right combination of features and "enjoyability". Cross-platform, lightweight, a joy to use... and having tickets and wiki follow a project repo around is -very- nice.

see: notes re: BSD Licensing here.

Wasn't there a quotation somewhere that Linus would have used BSD if it hadn't been tied up in a lawsuit at the time?

Yea, "If 386BSD had been available when I started on Linux, Linux would probably never had happened".

Thanks!

Fossil is quite interesting. Some import/export tools would be helpful though.

We have abandoned fossil due to its use of non-standard wiki markup so it cannot be used for documentation.

However, evaluating fossil has brought us to Monotone which we'll use with Indefero hosting.

All in all, Fossil is quite interesting, but non-standard wiki is, imho, serious mistake.

Fossil is simply amazing. So simple, yet powerful. Glad I found it.

Just a short update...after further consideration we decided that all the pros of Fossil outweight lack of standard Wiki and decided to use Fossil.

Moreover, recently, markdown branch was merged into Fossil, so now it's not even true that there is lack of 'standard' Wiki markup.
