If that is the case I prefer MP3 as you do now, most opensource distros are able to play MP3 nowdays, and besides you made public the statistics and most people use windows to visit your site.

I wanted to suggest if one day you can do a one off special like and hour interview or 45 minutes with somebody, just once or twice a year maybe.

In any case thank you again for the excellent material you provide.

I don't think the OGG thing is a big deal. I don't think it's worth switching to OGG, at most, adding it as an alternate format. But really, I think Layer 3 is so pervasive now that I don't think it's really worth the fuss. With Layer 3 you're going to be compatible with virtually any player.

I agree with rory arms.

Whether mp3 or ogg is really no big deal.

And a longer interview would be cool.

And thanks a lot for the high through-put.
It's really fun to listen to the interviews,
and so many in such short time, no less!

Ogg is worth it I promise. If the world descovered Ogg they would just turn their back on MP3. Better sound quality and smaller files which means you can higher your bitrate and get the same files size as you got with your MP3-files now. Winamp supports Ogg and ALot of MP3-players do too. iPod does not support Ogg which for me is a mysterium since it's open so it should be no problem for Apple to make their iPods play Ogg and I think that it's the iPod that realy is stopping Ogg from becoming bigger since PodCasting is, or at least was synonym with loading over you files to your iPod and since the iPod does not support Ogg MP3 have become the dominating format for PodCasting. Mp3 is such and old format and it's not free so the world should realy consider switching to a format from this century. It's realy Ipod and iTunes that holding back Ogg at the moment and that's sad when Ogg is just so much better then MP3 when it comes to Quality and file-size.

If it's not possible to fix a Ogg-stream I don't mind using Mp3. A majority of the PodCast I listen to only use Mp3. But I think it's sad that the world is stuck in this old and bad format. We should consider moving on...

I have to agree with Karl Viklund about OGG. The big problem is that most people don't take the time or just don't care about the format, which is why we see so many problems in software these days. OGG is a BIG improvment over mp3. Maybe if more podcasters would provide the Ogg format, more people would try and hopefully switch over. Would it be possiable to provide both mp3 & OGG?
