Talking about the BSD family of free operating systems.
The m0n0wall project ended earlier this year. Fortunately it's code base been forked to two separate projects, smallwall[1] and t1n1wall[2]. Both appear to have reatined m0n0wall's original goal of providing a lightweight BSD-based firewall for embedded PC hardware. Both projects have developmental releases available for testing. Might make for some engaging interviews, no?
