Talking about the BSD family of free operating systems.
Is it just me, or did the episode end right in the middle of Matt talking?
Matt would talk for days if you let him. :)
That was a great episode :)
for some reason I cannot download the podcast using iTunes.
Hi there, I thought i should let you know.I cant connect to the server hosting the mp3's. I have tried from my work network and home ISP. So i doubt the problem is on my end.The server at cisx1.uma.maine.edu is taking too long to respond.
i was able to download the randal schwartz episode but after a few days, i cant download anything anymore... i was really looking forward to the dragonfly interview but the server times out everytime... is there an alternative download site?thanks...
Sorry, power loss brought down the server, and a bootable CD was in the system waiting for a key press when it came back up.
thanks... currently downloading now... thank you very much.... :)
Listened to two episodes today for the first time, and will listen again. Thanks.
The part about stability sounds a bit strange to me.I have been using the BSDs since 2005 and had multiple crashes running FreeBSD, two with NetBSD and one with DragonFly BSD. I'm talking about crashes with stable versions. The funny thing is I am using DragonFly BSD in most cases and FreeBSD only pretty short periods to see what is happening there. So from this perspective the DragonFly guys take stability damn serious when compared to ther BSDs or operating systems (I had way more crashes when using Linux or Windows). However, this is no big study and only a personal experience so don't think you'll have the same experience!
